Wow! The one word to describe this!! These audio sessions have been a huge help & encouragement yo me. As a mom, I know how hard life can be. Especially when you homeschool, you have a sick cat, you’re planning an upcoming retreat that seems to be going awry, you’re a wife, etc, etc, etc. Yes, this is my week. I have been reminded that the devil seeks to kill & destroy. What? JOY! Well, he’s not going to do that this week. No siree. Between listening to this encouraging audio set and the current Bible study I’m doing right now (don’t you love how God intertwines things together?!?!) I have been reminded that I need to be true & real. Not just to myself but more importantly to God. I also need to be honest with EVERYONE, to include myself, and I need to be content. I know that God has my best everything at heart. He knows what is best and what needs to be done for His greater will.

With being a mom we need to be centered & have a positive attitude about everything! Things happen, life happens. There is a reason for everything, a time for everything. Can you have a thankful heart in the good & the bad times? Absolutely! With God all things are possible. He gives us the tools we need, the friends to lean on, the Bible to encourage us, and many wonderful authors who write their experiences & life stories to help us make the right decisions through our life stories. I think that’s really the key. We have a choice what to do/what not to do.

Take life in stride, make your choices based on God & what’s best for YOUR family. What works for me may not work for you… I pray this may help you, give you ideas, and/or encourage you through the coming years. Blessings!!

Managing my Minutes-REVIEW

UPDATE: we have a link available!! check out: http://www.attentionmoms.com/

I was just blessed to do another review on a fabulous book! It is being revised and is not out yet, but keep your eyes open for it! One of the things that I love about all of Mrs. Lorrie Flem’s books and articles that I have read is that she has God’s word woven throughout every part. For me that helps me to keep focused on Him and it also references everything straight back to Him with everything she says. This is w order full study for me to reflect on Gods word, to really listen and do what He is telling me to do and to reprioritize my life, church, schooling, everything! How can one mom fit it all in? By starting out with prayer, of course! I’ve read through the book first, and now I’m starting out from scratch with everything. I’ve started making lists of what i need to do and I’m figuring out what is most important. It may take me awhile, but I think at I’ll be one a better wife, mom, teacher, homemaker, etc because of it!

After you make out your lists, cut back on things. Can anyone take over a job? Or at least help out a couple of times a week? Is God calling someone else to one of the jobs you do at church? It really IS a blessing to allow others to serve and to do, just like it’s a blessing for you to do it, when it’s Gods will. God gives us many resources-you just have to utilize them!!

Time is a precious commodity these days. Here are so many things going on! Many of them are important or necessary, but we still need to build good habits and even teach our children these good habits from the beginning, so it’ll be easier on them and help them out throughout their whole lives.

This book gives so many wonderful ideas and help so that you can get your “everything” into order. We just need to devote a few minutes a day to reorganizing things and before you know it you’ll have the perfect home! Blessings to you on this wonderful journey that I hope you are also about to embark on with me!!

Yelling: The Cause, The Casualty, The Cure.

Yelling: The Cause, The Casualty, The Cure by Lorrie Flem.

Do you yell? (My first thought to that question is: DUH! I’m a mom! Doesn’t go with the territory?!?!) But, do you yell too much? Is it over-whelming you? Are you covered in prayer? What are your triggers? Have you taken a break lately? (and NOT just to do chores in peace & quiet. A REAL break.)
All these questions and more are answered in this book. I love the way that it’s written as well as all of the encouragement that is interlaced throughout.

This book was really was really awesome to read. I don’t want to give away any of the book, but I hope some of the questions I asked will help you think deeply enough that you want to check out the book. It is available for free one day only on the Kindle. The link is posted below.

Time for learning

I’ve been invited to try Time4Learning for a month in exchange for a candid review. Their online program can be used for homeschool, as an after school tutorial and for summer learning. My opinion will be my own, so come back and read about my experience. You can write your own curriculum review, too!

Sickies…

One sick, probably more to fall soon… Hmmmm. Never good. Bad stuff going around here, not to mention we’re still. “getting used” to this area. What do they say? It takes a year for your body to get used to an area & the “buggies” that fly around?? Something like that!!
So, on that note, school will be on hold for one today with prayers for her to get better & prayers that no one else gets it… Or that it’s a quick thingy.
